Although we had to opt for the scheduled rain date, we were rewarded with excellent weather, and even BETTER birds! Club members got to see freshly banded, wild birds up-close before release. members also learned about why scientists at Manomet mark birds and what they have learned over the last 54 years!
Birds in the hand varied, but included Gray Catbird, Blackpoll Warbler, Northern Cardinal, and only the 4th Cerulean Warbler ever caught at Manomet (that's in over 250,000 birds!)
